Our IT teams have detected a security incident on part of our IT network at the end of November 2020. Ceva Santé Animale takes the security of the personal data entrusted to it very seriously and we have therefore immediately taken measures to solve this incident.
The results of the investigations carried out establish that a malicious third party has been able to encrypt and extract a copy of a database containing personal information relating to our employees and customers, in particular their contact details.
To date, we are not aware of any proven use or attempted use of this data.
The French authorities (CNIL, ANSSI) have been notified in accordance with the procedures in force and we filed a complaint to the National Gendarmerie so that more advanced investigations can be carried out.
We also received the support of leading cyber security companies to help our teams conducting the investigations and taking the required corrective measures, as quickly as possible.
We encourage everyone to remain vigilant with regard to solicitations from third parties, considered suspicious or not respecting the security standards that apply in every communication with our customers.
This individual and collective vigilance is the most effective response to phishing, cyberattacks and attempts at identity theft that negatively affect so many businesses and individuals.
We regret the occurrence of this incident and we are at your disposal to answer questions at the following address: contact@ceva.com
