Libourne, March 28, 2017 - Using an overall “C the future” theme, Ceva’s teams brought innovation to the fore during VIV Asia 2017, with the company winning the E-novation award for its C.H.I.C.K Program hatchery vaccination services quality recognized by Bureau Veritas and 2nd place for the Ceva Lung program for slaughter house lung check in pigs, both on the animal health category.
Prior to VIV, Ceva hosted two Poultry and Swine Innovation Summits, opened by CEO, Dr. Marc Prikazsky and Senior Vice President of Tyson Foods, Bill Mayer. Focusing on the challenges that are changing consumer demand and the need for sustainability will bring to our industry, they set the tone for the day, which focused on how Asian producers can respond to the need to reduce use of antibiotics in livestock production.
The seminars were a huge success with “standing room only” as over 500 customers received practical and scientific examples of how Ceva’s vaccines and preventative health programs, coupled with guidance on the responsible use of antibiotics, have meaningfully contributed to this important societal challenge.
At the VIV exhibition, Ceva launched its new stand design, which included 2 virtual reality (VR) tours of the latest swine and poultry production, giving a glimpse of what “C the future” might look like.
Ceva Group equipment and automation companies, Ecat-iD and Desvac also showcased their own innovations with the new Dovac day-old chick vaccinator and futuristic looking Egginject®, in-ovo machine both on show.
