Libourne, 22 September 2015 - In recognition of their commitment to producing feline friendly products, Ceva Animal Health have received two industry awards.
At a prestigious event in London last week, Zodon and Vectra Felis from Ceva’s feline range, both received International Cat Care (ICC) Easy to Give Awards 2015.
Zodon is the first clindamycin to offer a flavoured oral solution for cats; as a commonly prescribed antibiotic it has only previously been available in tablet form. Vectra Felis is a new ectoparasiticide which kills on contact for a month and prevents flea reproduction for three months.
The proud double award winning Ceva team with members of ICC: From L to R Lindsay Johnson (Ceva), Allison Henry (Ceva), Claire Bessant, Nicola Barclay, Bradley Viner, Marie Laure Loubiere, Ginette Bryant (Ceva) & Sarah Endersby (Ceva)
The ICC Easy to Give Awards recognise the investment in innovation by pharmaceutical companies who aim to make dosing cats easier.
Ginette Bryant, Communication Manager for Ceva Animal Health commented on the awards saying: “These awards recognise the positive impact of companies investing in innovation, aimed at making animal health products more feline friendly. Medicines that are easier to administer make life less stressful for vets, owners and feline patients alike. Not only that, in the case of antibiotics we know that owner compliance is a key factor in ensuring that dose protocols are respected, a key element in the battle against the onset of resistance".
Each award is the considered decision of the ICC feline expert panel, a group of veterinary surgeons who are, or have been, funded at vet schools to specialise in feline medicine by the ICC.
In total, since the awards’ conception in 2005, an impressive 6 Ceva Animal Health products have received ICC Easy to Give Awards, earning the company the right to display the ICC Easy to Give logo on packaging advertising materials.
